Other NW Java uses with PO 7.40, e.g. Portal

I know SAP NW Java PO 7.40 = PI + BPM + BRM, i.e. it's now possible to install the BPM and BRM uses together with the Java-only PI.

Is it also possible to install other NW Java uses on the same system, e.g. Portal, Visual Composer, CAF, ...?

Thank you. So it seems the reason not to do it is because of performance concerns, portal negatively impacting PI? At least that's what's mentioned in , which is linked from the second thread you linked.

That is what my understanding too but any specific reason to have everything on same system?

Currently we have double-stack PI 7.31 and NW Java with Portal, BPM and Visual Composer. As soon as my manager heard that Java-only PI (at least 7.40, maybe also 7.31, not sure) can be installed together with BPM and BRM he was all like: Yay, let's simplify our landscape and get rid of one server!

It's not a really productive landscape, though, more of a sandbox with a relatively low number of users. So it might be possible, but I guess it would set a bad example for the real-world landscapes.

so he has got a good reason to excite

hmm.. have a look the reply from Matt in the below thread -

Hello,

Even if it's possible my point is what extra benefit (apart from same server) we are drawing from such kind of landscape where for instance PI and EP are installed on same server? After checking above threads it seems that things are only getting complicated

So, again same question can be asked why to do something which is not worthy enough to be done.

Thanks
