SAP Basis Team??

All,

Can someone please post information regarding SAP Basis teams.  Our SaP Re-Seller mentioned them but gave me very little follow-up information.

if you have an error regarding Basis or even only a question you can raise a customer message (OSS) through Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com  - Help&Support meu - Report a Product Error) to the following component (or subcomponents): BC (=Basis Components)

SAP Basis support team will give you an answer.

SAP consists of different teams.

1. Functional team
2. Technical Team

Basis team will come under Technical team who does support for SAP projects from back end. They are more into SAP administration activities. Their activities include:

1. Proposing Server Configurations
2. Installing SAP in those Servers (Development, Quality & Production Servers)
3. Creating Users & Roles
4. Configuring system for back up, recovery systems, etc.,

If your SAP reseller is SAP consulting partner, then he will provide you the Basis consultant to do above mentioned activities for you. Also, you can get the job description of Basis consultant by searching in search engines.
