Hi

Should i need to copy from 000 client after creating a new client. I mean i have created a new client 500 and logged in through sap* but when iam creating a new user in 500 client iam not able to use any TXns.Please Help ASAP.

Yes, need to copy copy using  profile SAP_CUST from 000 or 001 , after making a fresh client .

Yes, no need of SAP_ALL , an SAP_CUST (which will be completed faster  than SAP_ALL) is enough from 000/001 after any fresh client creation

Later you can do any SAP_ALL from other clients .

Can you explain the procedure to copy profile, SAP_CUST from 000 client.i mean RFC connection as iam getting the following error.

" RFC destination for client copy in systems with Financials Basis

(FINBASIS) component.

The system could not find any suitable RFC destination for processing

for client 000.

This note also appears if an RFC destination was found but this does not

work.

o   RFC destination: FINBTR@DEVCLNT000

o   Error text: Error when opening an RFC connection".

Hi

You need to create a RFC destination (SM59) to the source client (with an account and password) and regsiter that destination using transction  FINB_TR_DEST

For creating a new client you should use client 000 and profile SAP_CUST, not because it is faster but because there is no need to copy application data nor user to a fresh client.

Import all SP, language & addons befor creating the client. Use SCCL (local client copy) in the target client, client 000 as a source client & SAP_CUST profile

Simply you can just make the RFC as FINBTR@DEVCLNT000in SM59 , give DDIC user and password on logon area , make the authorization and connection test success .

RFC connections are cross client thus you can create it from any client but it should target client 000

Hi Samson,

Just click the "Wizard" (highlighted in orange) when the error appears. Follow the steps in wizard and create the RFC destination.

Later continue with client copy.

Hi Samson,

Are you able to select and assign the user profiles like sap_all or sap_new etc to the user?

Is it just an issue with company address, if so you can simply create the address and proceed with the user creation. If you copied from 000 , SAP_CUST properly , then company address is not maintained in 000 also , and hence you get this error . Create it manually and proceed further creating users.

Seems like the client copy from 000 customization was not successful . If its was fine, you wont get any such messages .

You might get this error if you run SUCOMP in the target (500) client

Have you tried in client 000, you should not have such error.

OK can you please trigger an SAP_CUST from 001 client to 500 . Once done , login to 500 client , all company address etc will be available in 500 after this copy .

Configure TMS using SE06.

You will be prompted to provide the company address as well as Country.

I have tried the same. I did not get any error. It will ask you the company name. You can ignore that also.

Hi Samson,

Firstly you need to perform client copy from 000 -> 500 using SAP_ALL profile.

Later you may proceed with user creation in client 500.
