Dear PI experts,
Is it possible to configure the PI file adapter (we're on version 7.11, dual stack) to poll once a day at a specific time? This is a Sender communication channel that reads binary files from a specific directory on a network server, and sends them to an FTP site. We want this once-a-day polling to occur at 8:00 PM (PI server time).
The quick-and-dirty way, I'm guessing, is to simply set the polling interval to 86,400 seconds (the number of seconds in 24 hours), then wait until 8:00 PM to activate the communication channel (at which point, I'm guessing, it will poll immediately, then every 24 hours hence). I'm just wondering if there's a more elegant way to approach this problem.
Cheers,
TerryB
Hi Terry,
you can use the Planning Availability Times in communication channel monitoring to start the channel at particular time. Please refer the below help page
