Hi All
Please could some help - we are
currently going through an upgrade and
have a Sandbox which we are creating
SAP transports, we have a concern
that when we transport to the dev box we
will run into issues in that
the objects will not be from the originating
system when or if we need
to modify in DEV.
I have looked online and found
that we can use transports with object
type C (http://www.saptechies.org/correction-and-transport-system-2/#sthash.SbawfGxM.dpuf)
I am a little confused with
this as Im not sure how these are created -
I can see if I want to create a
transport manually I can use SE10 then
select relocation of objects w/o
package change? but what about other
TPs?
Many thanks
Col
Hello
You did find the good transport type.
For workbench objects (program and other DDIC objects) you can use transport of type "Relocations of objects without a development class change" or "Relocations of objects with development class change" . (depending if you want to change the package aka dev. classs).
This will allow to transport the objects to your DEVsystem and set them as original to that system.
By the end object origin is just a field (SRCSYSTEM) in TADIR table.
For customizing orders there are no problems has they are just table entries and are not tagged with a source system.
