PPM 5.0 SP 07 - Compatible with NW 7.31 SP11

Hi,

We need to upgrade our netweaver SPs inorder to have latest browser compatibility for PPM 5.0 users.

We are currently on SP 7  of PPM and prefer not to upgrade this to a later release at present .

Can we upgrade our NW 7.31 to SP 11 without any issues for PPM on SP7?

Hi Alison,

Don't have much idea on that.. But as far as me, since you are above NW 7.02 which is requirement for PPM 5.0 SP07, should not have any problem.

Have you referred the below notes for details on PPM SPs & supported browser versions?

1377082 - PPM 5.0: Support package information and notes

1402912 - PPM 5.0: Supported Browsers, Java versions, etc.

May be   can you help you further on this.

We checked all notes and have no definative answer on this.

However agree that there should not be any problems.

We will test out on a sandbox to identify if there will be any side effects.

Hi Alison,

at the end of SAP Note 1377082, it says:

> CPRXRPM 500_702 is also released for installation on  NW 7.31 (ABAP, i.e.

> SAP_BASIS 7.31, SAP_ABA 7.31, etc.) and SAP_BS_FND 7.31 (ABAP). Prerequisites

> are SP06 (as a minimum) of CPRXRPM 500_702, plus SAP Notes 1629095 and 1611701.

> Also implement SAP Note 1734063 (NW Note).
> Concerning NW 7.31 (ABAP), please implement at least SAPKB73104 (see note 1686046).

I.e. yes, you can upgrade your NW 7.31 to SP11 for PPM 5.0 on SP07.
