Thanks Julie for responding, my question is in what condition we will configure new controlling area?

Just like currently we are working in india sooner we will start our one company in another country, in this condition new controlling area is required or not?

CO Area depend on the Organisation Structure , ChA,FSV and Other considerations.......which you should understand the requirements...........of Clients............

If Org need to have CO area assigned to CO Code 1:1 or if inter company CO Transactions would be there then go for CO area 1:N ,.......
