Remote Printer Configuration

Hi ,

Need to set up remote printer configuration .

Requirement is once invoice is generated in country a then the site located at some other country say b can print the document at their site .

How to proceed .

Hello,

I would suggest to use access method U or S and setup a Windows printer server with SAPSprint
running on it, you can refer to note 894444 for more details.
In SPAD the input the path to the printer for 'Host printer' and the IP or host name to the Windows

printer server for 'Destination host'.

I have to configure 2 Network Printers with 3types / sizes of paper Trays . So how to configure these 3 types .

Hello,

It depends on what kinds of documents you want to print, is it a ABAPList printing or SAPscript

smartform printing? which devcie type are you using now?

Hi,

The following attached Note explains how the tray selection is set for
Smartforms:

   189618 - Paper tray and print mode for Smart Forms

For each page of the form, the paper resource can be specified within
the form from transaction smartforms.

eg: /nsmartforms -> <Form Name> -> Change -> FIRST First Page
                  -> Resource Name -> eg: 'TRY03'

Thanks for your prompt reply . But I have never done this type of configuration before . So finding a bit difficult to understand .

Can let anyone know how to do it step by step and what all informations I need from the country B to have it printed at their Site .
