Dear Experts
We need to upload TIFF files on Opentext EFM server. Any suggestions how can this be done? Have below queries related to this.
1) The way we can upload tiff files using ABAP program and store those on EFM.
2) Way to mass upload the files and transfer to EFM server.
3) We have multiple TIFF files for an Employee, e.g. There are File1(Page 1), File2(Page 2), File3(Page 3) which are pages of File N. How to upload these and link to single file and Employee?
4) Are these to be converted to PDF and then can be uploaded on EFM?
5) Or can these be directly stored as TIFF files on EFM?
Regards
Vaishali
Hi Vaishali Rautray ,
Mass uploading of attachments can be done with the help of Programs.
You can design Function Modules to handle the same and call them to upload the TIFF files.
We have tried a similar scenario and it worked out well.
Try searching for methods to mass upload, We have lot of threads in SCN for this

Hi Vaishali,
1) The way we can upload tiff files using ABAP program and store those on EFM. & 2) Way to mass upload the files and transfer to EFM server.
I believe you had an EFM Add-on on the existing SAP system. In this case you need to use EXR3 DP tool that comes shipped along with OTAS to do the migration of the documents to store them to corresponding SAP document. I personally believe ABAP program can be coded to handle migration but varies from case to case. Even though this migration happens on ADA, it is different for HR object because of infotypes.
3) We have multiple TIFF files for an Employee, e.g. There are File1(Page 1), File2(Page 2), File3(Page 3) which are pages of File N. How to upload these and link to single file and Employee?
Yes it is good idea to convert the TIFF files to PDF/A file format which suites for long term archiving unless the documents belongs to different sub types.
4) Are these to be converted to PDF and then can be uploaded on EFM?
May be it is a good idea. Conversion can also happen through OT redemption server.
5) Or can these be directly stored as TIFF files on EFM?
Can be.
Please don't forget to close the thread if is useful to you.
Thanks,
Kolusu
