Hi,
SUM prompts you for a Java Maintenance Certificate, but it is not required.
It is a warning displayed by SUM, as it somehow forgets to validate that the installation is ABAP+JAVA or JAVA only & can be ignored.
Java stack shares the Maintenance Certificate from the ABAP stack whenever required, without asking you again.

Could you please share the error that you are getting while installing SPS?
Thanks,

hi guys,this is the screen.
1236587 - JSPM/SUM - No valid maintenance certificate found
this note told:In a double stack system, you have to install a maintenance certificate in the Java stack and in the ABAP stack.
i'm not sure why the previous note told no need.
and anyone can tell me which is the truth?
Thanks.

Hi Big,
I have faced this error before. I tried to install the java certificate but it gave me an invalid certificate error.
Anyways you can safely ignore this warning and go ahead with the SPS upgrade.
Afterwards you may try to generate a maintenance certificate from SMP and install in the AS JAVA part of solman. You will have to this through visual admin under server<number>->services->licensing adapter
Regards
Robin
