Sales Area in Stock Transport Order

Hi,

According the business scenario at our place first a sales order is created and in back a purchase requisition is created and with reference to this purchase requisition a STO is created.

In this STO the as per the standard settings receiving plant is treated as customer and in the configuration we assign a single sales area in SPRO - materials management - purchasing - purchase order - set up stock transport order - define shipping data for plants.

Now this sales area gets populated every time in all the STO's.

Now my requirement is ssytem should pick the sales area of SO from which corresponding STO is being created.

Hi Uday,

As mentioned by TW and Himavanth, As per standard behavior it is correct.

Now SAP has given below enhancement to fulfill this type of requirement.

V02V0001 = Sales area determination for stock transport order

Give your logic to ABAPer and he will help you to update the same in above enhancement.

Hi Uday,

It's standard behavior of system. It always determines the sales area for the customizing settings of shipping data for plants. Even though the product belongs to different division which is different from the division in shipping data for plants. To determine shipping data in PO for different division products which are not assigned in the customizing we need to extend the extend the sales area for that customer which is assigned in the customizing.

system will defaults the sales area from config(shipping data for plants) always.

To clarify, the sales area in the delivery (in STO process) is that set in the supplying plant.

As the delivery is directed from supplying plant to the receiving plant (which is the delivering address / SH customer)

Now your requirement is that the sales area of delivering plant, in the sales cycle (which is the receiving plant in STO) should be the sales area in the STO process. I don't think that is possible in standard.

This is because the sales areas are different for - Sales process, delivering plant

and for - STO process, the supplying plant
