LIMS Interface error

Hi Gurus,

We are currently implementing LIMS for our laboratory and integrating with SAP.  we are doing it for our raw materials and  semi finished materials.

we do not have any issue with our raw material interface as LIMS extracting the inspection lot data from SAP and sends back the characteristic results against our MIC and valaue them automatically. Once the lot data is sent to LIMs , the characteristics has the status 6 (submitted to LIMS) and once it is evaluated, it will have the status 5.

But for our semifinished materials , LIMS able to extract the lot data but when it tries to send the data, it is getting an error " Inspection point 000001 of characteristic 01069330 is not availab" 01069330 isthe  confirmation number of the characteristic. you will get this number once the characteristic is valuated.

Do you have any idea what does it mean? have your faced this error?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

SS

SS,

This is because you appear to be using inspection points in the testing of the material you make.  As a result, test results are stored in a different results table then in the standard QAMR table.  This is probably more a function of how your interface was written in LIMS.  Most of the major LIMS vendor can account for this in the software they provide for interfacing to SAP.

Is this an interface that was written in-house?  If it's a major LIMS vendor they should be able to take care of this relatively easily.

Thank you Craig.

We have the inspection points and sample drawing procedure assigned in our raw material inspection plan and  have only inspection points in our semi finished material. what is strange that it works perfectly for the raw material.

Labware is our partner in implementing LIMS.

Thanks,

SS

In both cases, is the inspection point created before you try to log results?
