Hi all,
I have a problem to download data from a report. The XL gets downloaded in a different format than my colleague.
We are using the same XL version but two weeks back the SAP GUI 730 got reinstalled to my machine and since then the problem
started.
Can you please confirm is there is any particular user settings for this?
I have login in any different working ( SAP Export ) machine with my login ID and Password and try to export the report to excel file from SAP, and I have same issue . Same we have requested another user to login in my machine with their ID and Password and check the same, They have tried and its working for then in my machine.
see screenshots attached.
Thanks.
Hello Maria,
seems you have selected the option as default and hence you are getting that option only
There are three ways to reset the default download option
1) Execute any ALV report on the output screen ,just do a right click ,your default settings will be reset automatically.
Other options along with the below one to disable defaults set by the user.
2 )Maintain the table SALV_BS_ADMIN using the report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.
Note 1080608 - Defining ABAP ALV export format for spreadsheet
3) "&RESET_EXCEL" in the command field to reset the parameter in the ALV list -Note 1157927
Anyof the above 3 will work

Thanks Maria for the update !
Good to know that issue has been reoslved
Aslo further to this ,from SAP-BASIS 720 onwards ,SAP has changed the extesnion to .txt instead of .xls while downloading the excel reports (as .xls leading to other problems)
please check the notes
975868 : conversions while downloading the excel reports
1683514 : Do not use xls as file extension.

Hi maria.
are you working on GUI 710
May be your patch level is 0
Download the latest GUI patch and apply it there
or update gui 710 to patch level atleast 4

Hi all,
Let me explain the issue again.
when I press list -> spreedsheet I would need to see the the option 1 attached in the screeshot below to export the info to Excel (in HTML format)
However when I press there, System Shows:
*Filter criteria, sorting, totals and subtotals are not taken into accountMessage no. 0K064*
and I can just export to a basis excel table.
Any idea?
Thanks!

hi Maria,
It might be problem of authorization in your ID. Some object may be missing.
If not, then try this..
change the file name extension to .XLS and storage directory to desktop. and ok
try this it will work...

Execute report>
Right click anywhere in the report output and select Spreadsheet.
A pop up box will appear, select which export option you would like to use and click green check.
NOTE: If you don't see this option then goto Settings>Switch List then try above said.
