Backup and recovery of ERP on HANA .

Hi expert,

I constructed ERP on HANA by using DMO of SUM.

My R/3 system is SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 7. And my DB is SAP HANA SP7 rev70 .

I considering Backup and Recovery of ERP on HANA .

Now R/3 system and DB(HANA) are installed on separate servers.

When I excute system backup for severs that  R/3 system and DB(HANA) are installed on , should I be careful something ?

For example , it is necessary that the time excute system backup for each servers are same .

I want to know the cautionary note of systems operation to ERP on HANA.

Hello,

You should take backup of HANA database. Application (R/3 CI) reside on other host does not contain any data. In case something went wrong, you can restore HANA database and simply install CI again on different server. If you want, you can still take backup of file system where R/3 CI is installed with same time stamp. You can refer to HANA administration guide for more detail on backup and recovery.

Thank you for reply.

So I should take backup of HANA DB.

And it's nothing to worry about difference of time to take backup of the host that has HANA DB and backup of other host that has  Application (R/3 CI) , right ?

(If I want , I can still take backup of file system where R/3 CI is installed with same time stamp yet.)
