Hi Vipin,

As far as i understand and based on the discussion in the below thread,

from SP7, regi is not required and you should be able to create the workspace without it. And hence that setting is removed

Thanks Krishna for you reply.

I am using hana trail account with HANA studio Version: 1.0.7000 .

What is SP level of hana trail account? is it SP6 or SP7?

I guess you are using Cloudshare

It is still on SP6

So you do need REGI for it

So try using HANA Studio Rev 68 or lower

Hi Vipin,

I wonder how 2 schemas are showing different versions

Can you share the screenshot

For checking HANA DB Version, just R- click on your system and select Administration and here in General Information - you can get information about Version

In SP7, the REGI concept is gone

What is the problem that you are facing?

I did not face any issues, rather i am searching for Regi.exe path to be given in studio. I was not aware that from SP7, this is not required.

Hi Vipin,

Removal of REGI removed lot of problems with HANA Studio

Yes REGI is removed from the HANA Studio from SP7 (Rev 70).  You can use the HANA Studio SP7 version with older versions of the HANA Studio.  It is for the most part backwards compatible.

Hi Thomas,

I have some objects deleted from my package. Now I am not able to see them. This is ok, but other colleagues can see them in spite of deletion?!? if they open the Object it is locked by me 😕

before we used regi via cmd to delete such inactive objects. What can we do, if we do not have the permission to use delete from "_SYS_REPO"."INACTIVE_OBJECT" where ...

Hope you can help 🙂

best regards,

ayla

You should NEVER delete anything directly from the _SYS_REPO tables with SQL.  I suspect that you didn't activate the deletion.  Therefore in your workspace they show marked for deletion. From the Repository Browser in the Studio for you workspace you will see these objects marked with a red X. Activate those objects and they will be deleted.

I will try that next time. Thanks a lot 🙂
