Hi All,

I am unable to connect to R/3 from Web Dynpro. The steps are as below:

1) Created new web dynpro project

2) Created new model. Selected Import Adaptive RFC model. Clicked Next. New window appears.

3) Provided all information in Import Adaptive RFC model. Clicked Next

4) Here I am providing correct info in SAP Logon Infomation --> Single server.

5) However I am getting following error:

Login Failed

Name or password is incorrect. (repeat logon)

Please note that I have provided correct name and password. Using the same credential I can log on from other m/c. Please note that Web Dynpro J2EE engine, EP and SAP R/3 are in same domain.

Can you pls help.

Thanks

Gaurav

Hi Shree,

I think we have to make some settings on R/3 to accept RFC.

Generaly BASIS people will do it .

Hi,

Did you connected previously or this is the first time.

Generally R/3 system user name and pwd only take there.

If you are doing the first time or not?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Lohi.

hi,

Provide me the logfile or error trace such that we can find out error.

Are you able to enter into R/3 side?

If u enter the R/3 side that would work in EP side also.

thanks,

Lohi.

Hi,

I am able to connect to R/3 using SAP logon. I am able to connect to EP. However, through NetWeaver Developer Studio, I am unable to connect to R/3. The error message is strange as it says "Name or password is incorrect. (repeat logon)". Name or password is definitely correct.

Thanks

Hi,

Do u have service market place access go through this note 832994. this will help you resolve ur problem.

Otherwise u need to goto the plugins of the NWDS SAP\JDT\eclipse\plugins.goto

com.sap.mdi and u can find the plugin.xml and open it add this line of code there

<import plugin="com.tssap.sap.libs.logging" /> after this line<import plugin="com.sap.mw.jco" />

and restart the NWDS then it will work

Try this and let me know .

Thanks,

Lohi.
