Hi,

     Is it possible to "cut" a string up into separate items?

i.e.

  If string entered is "ABC", can this be cut & then applied to separate characteristics - "A", "B" & "C"

  Please advise.

  Thanks in advance.

Ritesh,

              Thanks.

  So there is no equivalent of '=left()' from excel that can be used?

Hello Rob,

Greetings,

yes there is no function like in Excel.

But you should be able to implement the PFUNCTION with the help of technical team to perform your required function.

As per my knowledge we have only II available which work

||

The string is cut off at the maximum number of 30 characters.

Leather_saddle = Alpha || Beta

= 'AB'

try it , but my suggestion is build a new Pfunction mention in link i sent in previous thread.

Thanks

Ritesh
