Default values not apprearing for custom attribute

Hello Experts,

We recently upgrdade from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0.

We have classic scnario with ECC as backend.

We have added one custom atribute and made it available for user to enter in SC screen.

But after upgrade, the default values are not getting defaulted in here. The Search Help works fine for this field.

Do we have to add custom code in order to default values in this field? Or we are missing any config settings here? (The Default checkbox is checked particular value in User attributes at Org Str.)

We have done below settings at

Extension and field control > Configure customer field> Define customer field on Item Level > Append for customer fields on SC

Extension and filed control > Conforgure filed control > Configure control at Item Level, here did below setting for both METADATA and Default METADATA in SPRO,

Are we missing any config settings?

Or this has to be taken care by custom code in any BADI?

Hi Dhananjay,

yes sure. Attributes from PPOSA are not automatically populated to customer fields.

You should use BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI or try /SAPSRM/BD_PDO_FE_FILL_ITEM
