USED and NEW inventory seperation

We have refurbished materials(USED) that come back to our inventory and can be used for some of the processes in our setup for certain customers.

currently we do not have tracking for the valuation of the materials between new or Old  but their usage ( New  or Old)

we would like to configure / enhance / setup a planning process in SAP APO for the planners that would allow them to have  visibility of the demand (consumption) of the  refurbished materials and hence should be available for planning seperately from the new materials.

can anyone let us know if this can be setup in APO.

Hi ,

You can use MRP type ( create new MRP type ) to diffentiate between old and new materials. You can CIF this to APO MAster data extra tab filed. You can enhance the SNP Shuffler to consider this MRP type from  Master data to filter. If you want to plan DP best way is to bring this as part of Prod_Loc Char Nav.Att , then you can filter it and do planning over there.

this requirement is on DP side,

we currently use 0Material and 0MAT_PLANT attributes and texts. 

Can you please let us know which particular info object you are referring to and also the data source that would be suitable.

Can you try to use Custom Char for Prod_loc similar to 0MAT_PLANT . You can put nav att in that. To populate Nav atts you need to define new transformation from and data source from BW.
