Product :- SAP BO4.1 Sp2 Edge full build
CMS DB:- SQL Server 2012
OS:- Windows 2012 Standard
Issue:-
Not able to view sample reports published with BO
It seems that at looking at WEBI logs, the WEBI server is trying to refresh every DP in every universe unnecessarily(even if report is not getting viewed/scheduled)Including audit report convertion universe and monitoring universe as well. This process goes on running
.I can se the no of documents count of WEBI to 0 on WEBI matrics...
I Checked no one is logged in to BO, No schedules are running
this is happening on all installation on Windows2012 i.e 2 dev boexes and 2 pprd boxes...in WEBI logs the following gets repeated for ever DP.
EVENIF NOTHING IS RUNNING AT BACK END I CAN SEE THE WEBI SERVER FLOODED WITH THIS ERRORS....

It was platform search that was putting WEBI on toss..
Go to CMC->application->Platform Search Application->Click Stop Indexing
In Crawling Frequency select schedule option-> Save and close
In platform search it try to create index on every WEBI report objects for that it open a report via WEBI server and look for DP that time uses connection as well so as indexing on and if one of the connection is having problem WEBI will go in loop to try to chase for it and also after some time the same process to index it and goes on toss….

Hello Amol,
Which Drive is your installation directory ?
Is SIA running ?
1945071 - Web Intelligence does not function if installing BI 4.x in a drive other than the default C: drive on Windows Server

Hi Amol,
We can see there is a message "Error=ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
The message could possibly be related with connection server as well. Have you been successfull in checking the logs of Connection server? Also it would be important to look into the CMS traces as all communication has to be validated by CMS db.
What would be the performance of the system during the time, any spikes observed in CPU usage. Check the cpu utilization for wips by comparing the PID of WIPS in CMC and taskmanager.
At the same time end-to-end tracing would help a lot. Have a look in the Document
Hi Amol
Kindly refer the SAP Notes
1198150 - Error: "ORA-12154 - TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
1204916 - Error: "ORA-12154" when connecting to Oracle from a Windows 64-bit platform

Hi Amol,
What about the Connection server? The logs clearly mention an issue with Connection.

Hence I suspect there can be only be 3 scenarios, here we have a corruption in BO corba stream which does seem to be due to presently downloaded software as the behavior has been found across the landscape.
Or else we have an issue with drivers installed.
Or issue with firewall / anti-virus (which seems to be remote, cause I believe you have already taken care of that )
We can try options as below:
1. Re-install drivers.
2. Perform a repair of the installation.
Still an end to end trace would give us better results.
May be we can try to create new CNS / WIPS and disable the original servers in one of the box and see the behavior.
