Problems with SUM

Hi

today I've been running SUM to install some patches etc.   The 3rd and final time today I've run SUM and struck a problem.  Seems that it is stuck on step 5.6 Deploy Software Components.  I can see a java exception in the logs by no idea if it is related.  I've run SUM today 2 times already and both of those were fine.

Question is do I just wait or should I re-boot the box..if so what damage could be done?

Hi Jonny,

What are you trying to install?, the problem could be between different SAP components. Check this note if it is applicable or not:  1391732 - RMI_P4 Threads locked on ...rmi_p4.Call.getResultStream

Thanks chaps for the replies. But...

SUM did finally come back after 3hours of sitting still with more error logs.  This pointed key words I could use to locate SAP note 1891477 (PI 7.1X upgrade deployment process fails due to missing
ExecutionDetails class)  I have Re-created the server node from the binaries in the database and simply started the SUM process from 5.6 again and it worked all the way through.
