BI Launchpad 404

Hi,

After upgrade to BI 4.1 SP2, I'm getting below error while opening BI launch pad.

But i can open CMC page.

Any suggestion, please

Hi,

Sometimes the WAR files are not deployed properly during patch upgrade. You need to redeploy the BOE war file on Tomcat. Please try following steps.

1. Stop Tomcat and go to <BO Install Dir>\tomcat folder.
2. Open webapps and take a backup of BOE folder. Delete the BOE folder from this location after backup.
3. Now go to work\catalina\localhost and delete the BOE folder.
4. Start Tomcat and wait for 15-20 minutes so that it will redeploy the BOE war file.
5. Confirm the size BOE war file, it should be around 1.3 to 1.4 GB.
6. Try to access the BI Launch pad.

Hi Dharmendra,

Seems like web apps are not deployed or corrupted.

1) Try to clear the Tomcat cache with the instruction given by  Hrishikesh Inamdar

if it solves the issue, then it is fine.

Else

2) Deploy the war files using the below instruction. This will definitely solve your issue

<int dir>tomcat\webapps\BOE folder is showing emply after flowwing steps.

I ran wdeploy also but of no use.

Seems like you have used undeploy command.

I will suggest another way.

Stop tomcat

Copy the webapps from the below directory.

Drive \Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\warfiles\webapps

and paste it in

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps

Restart tomcat and check after 20 Mins.

HI Mr. Prasad,

I tried your steps too... but it didn't work (I didnt run wdeploy, after copy / paste   )

Though i can open CMC and Design studio page.

Seems something wrong at some other place
