HI,
I have imported a table from ECC using Selective import of metadata option. Observed only table definition/structure got imported not the data.
I have to use data services to move the data from ECC to HANA. Is that correct only structure gets imported using selective import of metadata option.? Or Am I missing any options to fetch data?
If only structure gets imported, why SAP gave option to connect to ECC directly and not able to import data?

Sudhakar
Hi Sudhakar,
Selective import of metadata option only brings metadata from ECC to HANA
To get the table data, you will have to use BODS
If you need to get data into HANA using BODS, then you also need tables where data can be loaded thats why this option is there
You can also refer to below documents:
Alternatively, you can use SLT to load data from ECC to HANA
In case of SLT, the metadata is imported as soon as SLT Configuration is completed and then you can select tables to load data

Vivek
