Assign Sales area to Sales Document Type

Hi,

We have two company codes.We have two sales organisations each for one company code say SAM ,RAM.

Company code 1000 is assigned to SAM.

Company Code 2000 is assigned to RAM

We use same same sales document type,distribution channel ,division to both company codes

So i have assigned in similar way

Combine sales organisation,Combine Distribution channel,Combine Division.

But in assignment sales area to sales document type,i am getting warning message."Define < RAM/MS/MI> as general sales area "In spite of that i have saved document.I want to know why the warning message is comming.

I have also seen the below link and assigned as per below

Hi,

The problem was i have done the changes randomly,because of that the warning message have occurred.

I have done the assignment in sequence later on ,now the warning message is not coming.

Hi Pradeep,

Step 1: Go to VOR1 transaction and check the distribution channel assigned as common distribution channel the Sales Organization and Distribution Channel.

Step 2 : Go to VOR2 and check the division assigned as common division to Sales Organization and Division.

Step 3: Go to OVAO and assign reference Sales Organization to the Sales Organizations.

Step 4: Go to OVAM and assign reference Distribution Channel to Sales Organization and common Distribution Channel.

Step 5: Go to OVAN and assign reference Division to Sales Organization and common division.

Step 6: Assign Sales Document type to Sales Area.

Hi,

As per screenshot provided the REF DC used by you is SS not MS .

Use SS instead may not give you the error

Sorry it was wrongly types it is SS only.Typing error
