updating SAP CIM model to Version 1.6 or higher

Hi

  i want to update cim model to version or higher in my solman system , recently configured, presently my system consisting of  Model Version (sld/active): 1.6.27  and SAP_CR 7.6 (produced 11/17/2011). how to update the sld and what version to be update, bit confusing , please any body help me

Hi Veera,

Check the below for CR data and CIM update

669669 - Updating the SAP Component Repository in the SLD

Update the latest version in SAP CR CONTENT is available under http://service.sap.com/patches as follows:

              A-Z Index -> Support Packages and Patches -> C -> SAP CR CONTENT

  Thanks karthik, iam asking what component to be download from the service market place.my system right now haviing this  SAP_CR 7.6 (produced 11/17/2011) and Model Version (sld/active): 1.6.27 . so my question what version i have to download from smp.

Hi Veera,

If the version of CR Delta is 7.6 then import CRDelta81612_0-20009730 ( CR 8.0) and the import CRDelta91611_0-20010858( Cr 9.0) . so you will get the latest CR model version

Also for CIM upload the latest cimsap91610_0-20010858 & cimsap91611_0-20010858 directlt , not required to update version wise like CR Delta.

In the above screen shot having the CR delta content version and CIM model version

like below

Model Version (sld/active):	1.6.36
SAP CR Content Version (sld/active):	SAP_CR 8.8 (produced 12/10/2012)

karthik  this is smp screen  under what version i have to download, i have enclose the screen shot.

mys system consiting of the bellow versions

Model Version (sld/active):	1.6.27
SAP CR Content Version (sld/active): SAP_CR 7.6 (produced 11/17/2011)

my question is can i download sap CR CONTENT UP TO 2013 in to my system, bit confusing

Hi Verra,

yes , you can update latest version.

But for CR delta model update from CR 7.0 to 8.0 -> the 9.0 ( not able to upgrade directly to 9.x version)

So first download CRDelta81612_0-20009730 in 2012 and then download latest version CRDelta91611_0-20010858 in 2013 and import it.

For CIM model, you can upload the latest cimsap91611_0-20010858 and import it

Hi Verra,

Also make sure not get any warning message, if you get the message, then u upload the wrong file .

Import the CR delta in order and Latest CR delta version is 9.11
