System Preparation Setup

Dear,

I'm trying to configure my solution manager 7.1 and I am at 3rd phase in System Preparation step.

I have already followed the instruction showing the process above in the screen

I can't neither download note by click Start Download button (No reaction) nor download in SAP Client with t-code, SNOTE.

Please see picture below and help me to solve this issue.

Hi George,

There is no need of downloading it to your disk. Please follow the steps below :

1. Go to tx - snote.

2. Click on tab Goto -> Download SAP note -> Enter the note number and then download it.

3. After downloading select the note and then goto SAP Note tab -> Implement SAP note.

Please note that the SAPOSS RFC connection should be working fine in order to download notes.

Just Execute the notes to implement in the system it will prompt for a transport request and it will log all the note corrections and activation in the transport.

Dear Jagadish,

I want to know if it downloads successfully or not because the result shows SAP note implementation terminated.

Also, I look back to client.

The light of download phase still shows gray.

I think it would be green when notes successfully download from browser.

Hi George,

Can you go to Menu Goto -> SAP Note browser -> Specify the note number and execute... Can you check the status?

Since the implementation has terminated, request you to try reimplementing the note.

Did you get any long text about the termination ?

Hi George,

After downloading the central note, as I mentioned earlier you need to implement it. After successfully implementing the note you can proceed further in solman_setup transaction.

Yes, I implemented it, but I'm not sure if it's successful or not.

The status of process is "In Process" in solman_setup transaction.

Yet, the signal is gray, not green.

That's why I confuse

If it is successful, it will be green.

Hi George,

This is the central note for Solution manager 7.1 sp4 version if i am not wrong. This error text generally comes when we only search for an SAP note in snote transaction and the note is not present.

Please confirm that you are downloading this note first and then trying to implement it. While implementing this will automatically download huge number of other notes.

Hi George,

Goto Tcode SNOTE -> Goto -> Download SAP Note.. Here you can download the notes.. This note will in turn download many notes.

Hi George,

You can perform this step from backend. Just go to SNOTE tcode and implement this note manually.

It will download a huge set of Note corrections.

Are you getting any error while downloading the note via tx snote in SAP client.

If yes then please let me know the error text.

It just said it is unable to find SAP Note that meets specified criteria.

It's the only error I got from client.

I have another question.

How come I can't download directly from browser?

I think it is supposed to be available to directly download sap note since the system provide Download button.
