Need help: EEM session timeout parameter

Former Member

Hello Experts,

I'm wondering which parameter controls the timeout of an EEM session (URL launched). Overnight everyday the session connection is terminated and a logon prompt appears in the window to establish connection again.

I'm looking to set up this, so that it doesn’t timeout otherwise the dashboards (EEM URLs launched) will have to be re-created everyday which is a major pain 😞

The SOLMAN system is 7.1 SP08.

Any advice on this please?

Your help will be really appreciated.

Thanks & regards,

MM

Hi MM,

pls refer this point ,

Assigning Roles to EEMon Users

You can assign roles to users of End User Experience Monitoring (EEMon).

 Level 1 users (role SAP_EEM_L1_COMP) can do the following:

o Display End User Experience Monitoring

o Display End User Experience Reporting

o Display EEMon alerts

o Further process EEMon alerts (assign statuses, create support messages in

Incident Management)

 In addition to the options available to level 1 users, level 2 users (role

SAP_EEM_L2_COMP) can do the following:

o Trigger traces

o Start trace analyses in cause analysis

 The administrator (role SAP_EEM_CONF_COMP) can also:

o Start the EEMon setup and configure EEMon

o Manage and configure EEMon

Hi NAyeem,

Thank you very much.

I'm not sure if I uderstand your advice. What exactly the timeout of EEM session has to do with the user's authorisation & roles?
