SAP MIM replace POS

Hi,

Can MIM replace POS system? MIM included inventory update and place sales order or PO. So just wonder if MIM can replace POS. Pls advice

Hi,

There is no std POS system in MIM.
Maybe specific, but i don't think you can replace POS system by MIM portal.
Application on the MIM are connected to ECC, so it's meaning all your POS transaction in ECC! (too much information).

A part of the POS functionality may be available in specific add-on (like Day closing).

Hi JC,

MIM (Mercahandise and Inventory Mangement) is part of IS-Retail, POS does not replace MIM.

The SAP POS system is standalone system, that can be process integrated with POSDM.

SAP POS is product of Triversity and not widely used among the clients.
