Disk storage selection

   Hello all!

Please help me,i try to find optimal diskstorage for dev and quas systems, where i can locate DB(Oracle) and some directories of OS. And i have one very important fact. I want make client copy with size about 500 GB no more than 12 hours

Advise me what diskstorage to choose?

SSD fiber attached SAN or even better, Fusion-IO drive (ioDrive2 Duo :: Fusion-io)

I'm kidding, as Nick said with a source client of 500GB it is tough to be able to perform a client copy in 12 hours...

Even if 500 GB is the whole DB size the data to be copied might be around 400 / 300 GB.

It might be possible if your target system only has one client and you performed a client deletion prior the copy... or if you have an very fast IO subsystem...

System copy using backup is more appropriate as it has no impact on production system.

Please clarify your requirement on diskstorage? I am sorry, not able to understand your requirement.

On client copy - Why don't you go with system copy (if client is bigger in size)?
