sap b1 (900070) gui via vpn timeout or problems

Hello,

do you have any IDEA what can help?

Problem: SAP GUI Timeout / Fail via VPN  (new home office installation)

System: B1 server with version 900060   (windows firewall is off)

Home-Office1:   windows 7 new notebook via wlan

Home-Office2 other location.   windows 7 PC with LAN Cable

I connect to vpn via LANCOM Advanced VPN.

I can open the shared folders on the SAP Server

I can ping the DNS Name and IP of SAP Server

I start the SAP Client  and click   change company, but the there is no company to choose.

I don t know how to switch to SLOW LAN CONNECTION e.g.

The WLAN Notebook VPN User of the other Home Office reported that companies were visibile, but after LOGON the CLIENT freezes / timeout with no error messsage.

I am sure that my VPN PORT POLICY is not the problem, because I did detailed tracing.

My next Ideas:

- try sap client on my location

- finding the slow connection switch setting

- LAN CABLE instead of WLAN

- PPTP VPN instead of IPSEC HTTPS VPN

- try sap client without VPN, simple forwarding incoming external connections to the following ports   SAP Server Ports: 8080,8443,1433 - 1434,30000 – 30001,30010

- don´t know whether the client windows firewall was off, they have no other personal firewall installed

- running port checker for this one: Ports: 8080,8443,1433 - 1434,30000 – 30001,30010

LAST IDEA:

- using the SAP SERVER as a TERMINAL SERVER for the two Users on their own risk

- change user/ install  etc....then everytime needed 😕

thanks, best regards

Hi

1. During the time of SAPGUI timeout, VPN connection on or off?

2. Create the host enter of SAP server in the laptop and than try (Example xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx hostname)

3. SAPGUI logon pad you can reduse the network speed " Low Speed Connection" kindly refer  the below screen shot reference
