What are the various types of drop down value help in WD?

Hi Thomas,

Different Types of Web Dynpro Input Help available are:

<b>1) SVS(Simple Value Selector) - The texts/values will be displayed in the dropdown list.

2) EVS(Extended Value Selector) - This is used for selecting a key/display text pair of a

simple data type

3) OVS(Object Value Selector)</b> - This is the additional type of input help is used to

search for objects instead of values.

The various types of value selectors are Simple Value Selector (SVS), Extended Value Selector(EVS) and Object Value Selector(OVS). SVS is used if value set is of 30 entries or so. If no of entries are in drop down becomes large then we use EVS. OVS is used when we need to provide advanced search functionality.

Hi Thomas,

Seems you are a newbie in here. It must be tempting to post questions and get immediate answers ,but it would be really nice if you go through help.sap.com and search forum for similar posts go through them and in case u face any problems please post those questions.

SVS , EVS are well documented. Please check tutorials section in Web Dynpro home page . Go through them. Ask what are the various types of Drop downs is ... etc looks rather naive.

No offense intended. Gud luck with the search in help.sap and sdn.
