CRM EhP3: error in SUM OCS package SAPK-10006INUI2700 does not match

Hello,

we're currently performing an upgrade of our CRM system from CRM 7.0 EhP2 (SAPKU70209) to CRM 7.0 EhP3 (SP02) using SUM 1.9 Patch 5.

The following error message appears:

-----

Severe error(s) occurred in phase PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION! Last error code set: Unable to generate package queue, return Code = 3, Reason = "OCS package SAPK-10006INUI2700 does not match the current software component ve", see phase log 'EHP_INCLUSION.LOG' and 'SPDA_EHP_INCLUSION.LOG' for details
If you put new packages in the download directory, use option 'init' to upload them.

-----

Current version for software component UI2_700 is SAPK-10005INUI2700 (which is installed in our system), so SAPK-10006INUI2700 would be the next patch level for this. What's the problem exactly?

I've attached some log files as well.

Thanks & regards

Wolfgang Mayer

Hi

I thing you kernel version 7.20(without EXT), EHP3 onward required kernel 7.20 EXT, could pls upgrade the kernel 7.20 EXT level 500 and than retry again.

Hello Sriram,

thanks for your reply: note 1957671 seems to deal with an issue using the MOPZ on the Solman, however, I'm upgrading the CRM System using the SUM directly on the SAP Server, so there shouldn't be a RFC issue, right?

Hi

Was the product System verification successful  in LMDB before creating the stackfile ?

Always cleanup the EPS\in directory in the transdir before running SUM, stupid conflicts can arise.

You could check in table PAT07 to verify that all the pre-requisites for SAPK-10006INUI2700 are met.

Hello Yves,

thanks for your reply:

  1. Product System verification was successful in LMDB before creating the stackfile
  2. EPS/in Directory was empty
  3. Table PAT07 contains the following prerequisites
    • UI2_700,100, SAPK-10005INUI2700: condition met
    • UI2_FND,100, SAPK-10006INUI2FND: addon UI2_FND is installed, patch 6 will be applied together with SAPK-10006INUI2700, how can this be a prerequisite???
    • UI2_701,100, SAPK-10006INUI2701:  addon UI2_701 is installed, patch 6 will be applied together with SAPK-10006INUI2700, how can this be a prerequisite???

Thanks & regards

Wolfgang

Hi

Indeed that sounds strange.

I did had a couple of times to update table PAT07 because it did contain mistakes (SP requirements  for 700 that were already imported but in 7.3 version).

You need to be 100% sure that the pre-req in PAT07 are wrong before changing (or do it on a sandbox or with a backup/snapshot)

I do not know enough the CRM Ui patch to be able to help you on that.

Hi Yves, the preconditions are correct and the Attribute Change Package (ACP) for UI2_700 has automatially been included. What I don't understand: UI2_700 is installed in our current System (Basis 731) but will be discontinued in the target release Basis 7.40. Why tries the System to patch this addon (and UI2_701, UI2_702, UI2_731, ...) if they're substituted in 7.40 by SAP_UI? However, it's not possible to de-select the patching of these addons in MOPZ... Regards Wolfgang
