Hi
I am the begineer in smartforms as well as scripts i have an urgent requirement which iu have to finish it within an weeks time.my req is that i have to create an appointment letter the format is as follows :-
1) A/4 page top middle the logo
2) extreme right top date
3) left top appointee address
4) just below as Dear Mr. or Miss.(emp name)
5) Subject
6) text (containing position)
7) bottom concerned authority
this is an HR requirement how shall i go about it.next there can be frequent changes made to it even in production .Could any body thus provide me step by step i shall give all my best to fulfill the reqs within deadline.

Hi,
Check these links you will get enough material to learn smartforms -
now for your queries -
1.On thePage node, select output options and choose page size as DIN4.
For logo, right click on the page node and select graphics window choose the
image .Image should be uploaded in SE78.
Choose Layout and position your window.
2. Choose a secondary window, position it using layout option.
Add a text node to it and use SY-DATM on text node.
3. Include a secondary window and adda text node to it.
Select the adress from PA0006.
4. On the main window choose a text node and use a right justify character format,
choose PA0001-ENAME.
5. Add another text node to main window and write the subject to it.
6. For adding text there are two ways
a) if it is static add it to SO10 and use include text here.
b) if something needs to be change at the runtime then write it in Text node.
For Position use PA0001-PLANS to extract it.
7. Add another window and text node check with the user for extracting the data.
