Hi,
Currently am working in SAP PI 7.4, customer has installed dual stack in adapter level there are two adapter for idoc one is IDOC and IDOC_AEE.
which is one is best option as of my understanding as it is new setup shall i go for IDOC_AEE
Regards,
Manigandan
Hi,
if new implementation then better go for IDOC_AAE...
if it's a migration one check if IDoc data is as per IDOC XSD else new IDOC_AAE adapter will throw error...unlike IDOC adapter which doesn't do a schema validation...

Hi Maningandan,
IDOC_AAE is installed in the Java stuck (adapter engine), while IDOC adapter is installed in the ABAP stuck (integration engine). As Amit said IDOC_AEE could get a better performance but IDOC_AAE has some restrictions in its usage. Please check this documentation Comparison of IDoc Adapter (IE) and IDoc Adapter (AAE) - SAP NetWeaver PI Reference Documentation - ... to compare the two adapters.

Hi Manigandan,
You can use any of them, performance perspective you can go with IDOC_AAE using Integrated configuration(ICO) or if you want to use normal IDOC with ABAP stack then you can go with IDOC.
Thanks,
Naveen

Hello,
Use IDOC_AAE adapter so in that case u can use ICOs - better in terms of performance.
Thanks
