Unable to process QM material

Hi Friends

We have case wherein one inspection lot was generated by Goods Receipt of 2 PO of different quantity with same batch.

Auto UD completed for IL with only one Stock quantity  and other quantity still exist in Quality.

When we try to post using manual stock transfer by  MB1B,System shows the error message

Error:Transfer of Inspection Stock of material in QM UD Only

Could you please provide your advice to process the material .

Hello Sisharth,

First You check the actual stock Situation in MD04.In MD04 you can able to find out the Inspection Lot number.Then Based on the Status you can able to process.

you can able to process MB1B only if Inspection lot is not available.

Please let me now if any issue.

Hi

Check the status of inspection lot. If quality stock belong to that lot then it status must be SPST or SPRQ else quality stock doesn't belong to that lot. Execute QVM2 to find the lots whose stock posting not completed.

Then post the stock of those lot then qty will be cleared from quality.

This shouldn't happen anyway. Did you do the GR for both PO together? 

Is it possible that one PO was received earlier and other after sometime? Because in that case, inspection lot would be generated with quantity of first PO. When second PO is received, only the quantity is updated in the inspection lot, if the batch number is same.

Is system status carrying SPST, instead of SPRQ or SPCO?

Amol has suggested a clear solution but you also need to find a probable cause so that it doesn't repeat.

Hello Siddhartha,

Inspection lot quantity can not be transferred using MM transactions like MB1B.

Use QA12, and complete stock posting for same IL. you can use QVM2 Transaction code to get list of Inspection lots with open quantities.

Thanks for your reply on  this.

Our IL Status is UD   ICCO SPST SPCO STUP HUM and when we try to process using QVM2.

the transaction opens change the inspection lot and  Record UD wherein the in our case IL was already done UD.

Please suggest your inputs and this will be very useful.

Probably I didn't follow your statement. Do you see this inspection lot in QVM2?

If yes, post the quantity out of QI. UD and Stock posting are two different processes. One can be done irrespective of doing the other.

Hi Siddartha,

SPST and SPCO are in same status. Make sure "To be posted" quantity is 0.

There might be inconsistency between QM and MM stock.

Use Sap Note 48815 and check for any inconsistencies.
