Usage of central solution Manager for MAI: Service provider

Hello!

We are acting as service provider for several customers with different support contracts (VAR-customer, Standard, Enterprise).

Is it possible to set up monitoring and alerting functions from one central Solution Manager of service provider for all these customers?

Or should each customer have their own Solution Manager system?

Hello Jansi,

many thanks for the reminder.
Unfortunately I neither did not get the exact answer for my question nor there is not a appropriate answer from SAP side.

Especially the new information that also the standard support customers can also use the new Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure make the usage of one central Solution Manager for Service provider for monitoring all the customter systems from there even attractive.

It will be great to get some official statement from SAP side...

Hello Jagadish,

we do not intend to use SAP Solution Manager as a Managed Service.

We have own SAP Solution Manager where we have connected several customers.

We are consider to roll out Monitoring and Alerting functions centrally from this Solution Manager for all the customers.
