Hello
I am trying to maintain serial numbers for a returns delivery for a customer, but when entering the serial numbers the system returns an error message:
"System status ECUS is active (ECU 30535351). Check the status of the serial number 1234567".
We have shipped these serial numbers (for serial number profile managed material) to the customer in the past and now we are simply trying to return it.
Pls advice on why we get the error message and also if you have any idea on how to progress with the return.

I forgot to set the status on the equipment to "From Customer" before creating the returns delivery. Now, setting this we can created the return. Solved it, thanks.

You might have created Outbound delivery with different serial number
please check the serial number in Outbound
When you are return the part , you have to use the same serial number with which you did outbound

Check if note 588322 - Status warning BS011 with returns assignment and status ECUS is relevant in your case.
