IMPORT RFC/BOR not enabled in Netweaver Gateway

We recently installed Netweaver Gateway components in our ECC landscape to build some ODATA services.We are actually able to enter the Service Builder with the transaction code SEGW but trying to build some sample services following the tutorial from

the Import option for RFC/BOR is missing .

Is this because of any missing components ? If so what are the things to be patched up again?

We are running on Netweaver Gateway 2.0 and IWBEP4

There is no availability of that feature RFC/BOR in EP4. You have to upgrade it. ( go for SAP NW 2.0 SP05)

1) What are the major changes with each version on service packs of Netweaver Gateway. Is there any document mentioning the changes for each.

2) Which version is the suggested one?

3) Which pack components are mostly being installed in Client systems ?

These ODATA services are for  consumption in Mobile applications.

I dont much know much about it. Recently i came across to do some work where i had to use RFC/BOR interface for importing but it was not there so one of my friend in basis team suggested for SP05.

Hi Viru,

meanwhile we have published SP08 of SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

I would take to long to list all new features in this discussion that have been published in SP5, SP6, SP7 and SP8.

We always recommend to use the latest version.
