FAIL: process hdbnameserver HDB Nameserver not running

Hi All,

Signed up for the 30-day SAP HANA Trial on Cloudshare (SPS6 no2) but it is not working.

At first, I could not connect to the HANA server from HANA studio on the remote windows machine so I restarted HDB from the server console and got  'FAIL: process hdbnameserver HDB Nameserver not running'.

GetProcessList returns:

Find attached namerver log files from /usr/sap/HDB/HDB00/hanacloud/trace

I also seems to me odd that the log files contain entries since 2013-07-11, although I activated my image on Jan 31 2014!

Any hint to resolve this issue.

As per logs and status, nameserver is down. Also, I found following problem in log file

Not sure if I understood that correctly. You ask me to check if my nameserver also logs

'Failed to obtain database memory allocated size from NameServer' and 'shutdown, unassign from volume 1' ?

If that is the case then the answer is yes.
