How to install ABAP Workbench in Netweaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version

Hi,

I am new to SAP Netweaver and ABAP Programming. I would like to learn ABAP and have installed Netweaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version on my PC. Yet I do not know how to install the ABAP Workbench. Does SAPGui need to be installed first? I also don't know how to do this. Thanks for your help!

Hi. Now that you have the system installed, you do need to install SAPgui. Once you have installed sap gui, you need to configure it to talk to your local system. All of this should be in the instructions where you downloaded from(here on SDN). Once you have configured the log on, you can then logon using the BCUSER user id and password minisap

You will also need to install the developer key, which is also in the instructions.

No need to install the ABAP workbench, as it is a part of the system, and all you need to do is run transaction SE80 once you are logged on.
