Document Services License Manager

Hi Guys,

We have this newly upgraded portal system 7.4 from EHP2 NW 7.0, on which ADS is not starting up.

On further digging up, it was observed that one of it's dependent service i.e document services license manager is not starting up.

Excerpts from the log:

Caused by: com.sap.engine.services.ejb.ContainerInitializationException: com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseRuntimeException: <--Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.engine.services.ejb.EJBResourceBundle', ID='ejb_0023', Arguments: ['LicenseDatabaseEJBBean']--> : Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key ejb_0023

Prior to upgrade, it was all working fine.

Any clues?

Thanks and Regards,

Ankit

Hi Ankit,

There is a missing file in com.adobe

folder:

[EXCEPTION]

java.io.FileNotFoundException:

/usr/sap/EPB/J00/j2ee/cluster/apps/com.adobe/DocumentServicesLicenseManager/EJBContainer/jars/gen_LicenseManagerEJB.jar

Please

stop the J2EE server, delete the "com.adobe"

folder:

/usr/sap/<SID>/J00/j2ee/cluster/apps/com.adobe/

and restart the

J2EE server. The during startup the com.adobe folder

will be recreated from database.

Hi

Ankit Sir

This is raju sir .......... Please checkout this note 783185

sir in case that note is not useful for you

follow the below steps

It seems that the ADS is not running properly.

First please check in Visual Admin if the following services are

running.

Dispatcher -> Services

IIOP

Server -> Services

IIOP

DocumentServicesDataManager

DocumentServicesTrustManager

DocumentServicesConfiguration

PDFManipulation

XMLForm

In VA:

Server->Services->Deploy->set 'Application' checkbox (bottom of page)

com.Adobe/AdobeDocumentServices

check the status of it.

If not restarted If you have any problem by start first try to do the following:

1.)

1. Shutdown J2EE engine

2. Rename the folder

/usr/sap///j2ee/os_libs/adssap
to antoher folder name (ex. adssap.old)
3. Start J2EE engine
4. Also make sure XMLform.exe is extracted under
/usr/sap///j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin

2.) if above action does not help, take the following actions. This will
refresh the ADS native files.

-Stop J2EE engine
rename version.bin to version.bin.old
-Start J2EE engine

this file can be found under /usr/sap//JCxx/j2ee/cluster

Thanks & Regards
