Hi,
Does the BusinessObjects credential mapping option in the Information Design Tool (when creating a connection) do the same as the "old school" @variable('BOUSER') and @variable('BOPASS') in Designer's universe connections?
Thanks
Gerrie
Agree with Arijit ..
Credential mapping: Uses the database credentials associated with the user's account defined on the Central Management Server (CMS) to connect to the data source.
To use this database credentials need to be setup in CMC..
The process is not the same as using @variable('BOUSER') ... I do not think we have a @variable('BOPASS') however..
In this process BO would used the user similar to varable @variable('DBUSER')

You can specify database credentials for each user separately in cmc which will be used as connection user for database connectivity if bo credential mapping is specified in connection.
For a relational universe we use @Variable('BOUSER') to get the username.
