Hi experts,
When I use SPAM to upgrade SAP_BASIS component SP level, after the job runs in background dozens of hours, I got an error when logon the SAP GUI,
the error message is that "Syntax error in program SAPLURFC", then the whole SAPGUI diglog box disappear when I click any button.
What's going wrong
Thanks
Youwang
Hi Youwang,
Can you suggest the import phase you are stuck in. Refer to SAP Note 1597765 Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 7.31 AS ABAP..
If there are lot of dumps and stuck in IMPORT_PROPER phase, Raise a OSS message to SAP they look into the system and suggest few checks and would provide a tp in order to progress further.

Hi Youwang,
Please check the below things
You will have to check at os level to see any tp process are running or not.
If not running wait for to get it completed.
Also check /trans/temp and /trans/log directory are running or not.
Once the tp process got finish at os level for SAP Basis , you will able to logon to the system(so don't be panic
If nothing is happening at os level , then you need to reimport the SAP basis pakage manually at os level.
Also paste the slog and import log from os level.

Hi Youwang,
Which SAP release you have ?
Ideally you should be using SUM tool to upgrade the SAP patches.
Secondly you need to ensure that you have included all the relevant support packages based on the queue definition. For details you may refer SAP note related to know issue with support packages based on your release.
Hope this helps.
