PM Work Order

Former Member

Dear All,

In our company we have a scenario that PM users generate/create work order only once in a year with respect to each equipment. Then they reserve/purchase materials via work order for the particular equipment whenever breakdown / PM occurs. But notification has been created several times for each breakdown activity.

Now, they want to have a link between notification & components received for it via work order. Is it possible to have such a link between notification & components in the component tab of the work order?. If so, please provide a solution for that.

Regards,

Nellaiappan N.P.

  1. Create one PM order for one equipment
  2. Create one notification when 1st breakdown happens
  3. Assign that in object list & assign the operations to that notification
  4. Assign the components to specific operations
  5. As materials are assign to operations & in turn operations are assigned to notification through object list, you can able track.
  6. If 2nd breakdown happens, again create new notification, assign that in PM order object list, create new operations for new breakdown, assign 2nd line item in object list to operations
  7. Assign materials to these new operations
  8. With the same relationship mentioned in point no. 5, link can be retrieved.

Hi Nellaiappan,

In my view there is no standard way of doing this.

This requirement can be met as under.

Functional side

1. Keep assigning the Notifications (throughout the year for a particular Equipment) to the Order of this Equipment.

2. Maintain the Notification number in the Recipient field of the Order Operation/s related to this particular Notification.

Technical Side (Development)

Now it will be possible for the developer to link between the Order operations and Notifications. Order operations are already linked to Components.

This way desired report can be had.

Note:

1. Point1 above is not compulsory for this report. Point 2 alone can derive this.

2. You can use another field Inspn Details in Operation tab also in place of Recipient field.

In fact I did not notice the space you've used.

you will be able to get more responses in space Enterprise Asset Management for queries related to Maintenance Notifications / Orders etc.
