Question on SAP Personas - File attachment issue on FBV2 transaction.

Hi ,

While I was trying to create an attachment (file upload from dektop) in FBV2 transaction, personas threw in a weird error. Seems like the context was lost based on the error message.Please see the screenshot in fbv2_2.png with the error message

Not sure if this has to do with lack of OLE support on personas.

We are running personas V1.2

Hi Radhamani,

1. Make sure you have the latest Personas Client note from here:

2. In the same blog above, I have listed a kernel note which is 1913055. This note is for kernel to accept file upload/dpwnload request from Personas.

(But this note is only applicable for kernel patch 200 and above).

File upload/download will work is you take care of the above 2 things.

Hi Sushant,

I have personas 2.0 sp02 installed i have been facing issue with file upload and download in the Personas but i am able to download in SAPGUI.

We are getting SAPLRESTGUI dump when trying to download the file in Personas.

Please find the below Screen for your reference.

Looks like there was a possible error during application of some notes... the syntax error and the last person to change the function group RESTGUI (SKARRA) points to this.

Suspected notes are 1787341 and 1913055. Check their implementation status in SNOTE. Try to see if you can reset implementation of these notes and then download the latest version of both and re-apply them.

If the error message is still exactly the same like in the above screen shot, then I'd suggest creating an OSS incident. There may be another note that was incorrectly implemented.

Does the user SKARRA know why was the function group RESTGUI changed?

Hello Experts,

I have created Flavors for the Transaction IW51,52,53.

We are on Personas 2.0 SP03.

The Attachment button does not work all the  times. If i have maximized my window nothing happens and if i press a back button, or if i reduce  the size of  the window then i get a pop up for attachments.

I installed  the SAP note 1913055. Earlier the attachment button was not doing anything after the install of the note i face the problem as stated above.

We are on Kernel version 742.

Hello Abishek -

Can you please make sure that you have all the required notes for Personas installed. Please refer to the Important Notes section in SAP Screen Personas 2.0 - SAP Imagineering - SCN Wiki

Check the status of the notes in SNOTE and let us know.
