Dear All,

We are running the upgrade in the SRM system from SRM 5.0

to SRM 7.02.

We have splited the dual stack into separate stacks using

software

provisioning manager tool.

We started our upgrade with the

ABAP stack and when when reached the

step 'Specify credientials' we

encountered with the following error:

The update tool is unable to detect

the instance information... SCS

instance is not detected.

As per the

note 1401712, we checked for the kernal and updated to the

latest. Also not

sure why ABAP stack is trying to detect SCS instance.

Please help .Attached screenshot for reference.

Regards

Bala

Hi Bala,

After split both instances must be running separately? Are they running? Try starting Java instance.

Thanks

Hi Karthik

Yes . I tried that note already .Our SCS instance no 42 . I do not find any service running .

I have verified all the profiles and folder related to j2ee ,I do not find any values related with SCS instance .

Still not able to understand , from where SUM is checking for SCS.

Bala
