Dear Experts,

We have configured the alerts in Pi 7.31 if executes RSALERTTEST, I got mail to inbox of the rwb but not reaching to SCOT--> send status area and not reaching to my email id as well. Given the email id in su01 correctly. By using scot --> utilities --> "Send test mail" option I can get mail to my email id abc@xyz.com.   Please help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks and Regards,

Srihari.

Hi Harisri,

Can you do the component based monitoring.

Go to ID and you will see ALERT RULE option.Click on ALERT RULE add Consumer.Add your Scenario.

After doing this follow the steps.

Abhi

Hi Hari - You don't receive alerts for ABAP stack failures with the above suggested approach. It's only for java stack failures.

There is an additional configuration required if you want to receive failures on ABAP stack.

Please follow the below document for the same.

http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2012/12/27/component-based-message-alerting-...

to check whether CBMA is enabled or not -

  1.   In the SAP system of the Integration Server, choose the Integration Engine Administration transaction (transaction code SXMB_ADM).
  2.   Choose Integration Engine Configuration .
  3.   Specify the runtime engine that should be configured as Alert Engine (in field Corresponding Integ. Server ).
  4.   Select the change mode.
  5.   Use parameter ALERTING_IS_ACTIVE to switch on alerting for this runtime engine.
  6.   Add parameter alerting.target and set a value for it in one of the following ways:
    • Set 1 to switch on component-based message alerting. SAP recommends this option.

    •   Set 0 in case you want to use the "classic" Alert Framework mechanism. SAP does not recommend this option.

Hi

Have you configured alert using component based mechanism or have you configured in the traditional way?

For normal mechanism, check that the rule in active in RWB and present in the SXMSALERTRULES table.

If you have checked the suppress option, then you need to read the alert email in the alert inbox of RWB.

Also execute report SXMSALERT_LOGREADER using SE38 to check the rule is called or not.
