Can we create excise invoice with other material (non STN material) in Depots

Hi Gurus

Can we create a excise invoice with other material (ie. other than the STN material) at Depots.

For ex:

If we transferred the FGXYZ material (100 No's) to Depot from Plant with Excise duties and then if we  transferred the Stock from one material to other material (ie FGXYZ to FGABC) at depot and make dispatch to the customer.

Will the system allow to do that ?

Can we sell other material (which is not transferred from plant).

Suggest me on this.

Can you elaborate the actual business scenario you are dealing with.

Why you want to transfer stock material to material?

 Can we sell other material (which is not transferred from plant).

Can you explain it more details how these materials are coming to Depots is it a procurement?

Hi

Actually, User want to stock transfer one material to Depot from Plant (with 10 mtrs length each no.) and after doing MIGO and J1IG at Depot, They want to do some cut over activities for the material ( for ex 10 mtrs to 6 mts) and sell it.

That means, some activity at depot is taking place ( with some scrap outcome). So here the material can get change after doing cut over activities ( with Unit of conversion change).

So here FG Code will get change.

Hi,

The best possible solution may be Subcontracting process as you have to take care the Excise registers talk to your MM guy to configure it.The process would be;

• Subcon PO which will transfer the material 1 to the same plant with different storage location
• After processing material 2 is getting stock in the plant with proper Sloc
• Stock transfer PO will be processed the material 2 to the Depots

Thanks for the suggestion..

But here, material1 will go from plant (ie from state1) and it will convert in to material2 (ie in state2).

In sate2 , only depot is there and in sate1 plant is there.

Hi,

Depot is just a warehouse where you stock the materials and sell it to customer. This means there is no value addition happening at depot. But as per your requirement you want to do a material to material transfer which will have an impact on the material valuation and also as per excise laws I guess you cannot charge more or less excise for your material than what is applicable in the manufacturing plant.

Hence I guess the  solution for your problem is to create a additional plant to perform this material transfer operation. Even though physically this operation happens in the same location but in system you must need 2 plants - one a manufacturing plant and second a depot plant.

From Sales Point View Depot is  not a manufactured Unit--So Conversion Of Material X to Y is Not done At Depot level---You Can Contact your MM guy to help you on this.

May Be you can Use configure This Depot itself as One more plant decided by MM team...
