How to do by product Posting ( 531 Movement Type ) in Tcode CO11n on SAP IS MILL ?

In the industry solution mill products there is specific functionality to do CO-Product good receipt posting during CO11N (and other confirmation transactions). By-products are not supported in this scenario.

It is way more common in the mill industries to use co-products rather than by-products. This is a good explanation about the difference between co- and by-products:

A by-product can be automatically posted during confirmation when you use the backflash functionality.

CO-Product good receipt posting in Mill is only allowing 101 movement type , Where as in our scenarios ,only the by-product to be posted in Mvt Type 531 .

How to do the by-product posting in backflash functionality.

Please guide me ....

Ajit,

I highly recommend to always first search on SCN before posting this kind of questions. You will find a lot of answers via this channel.

Setting backflush indicator:

1. In the material master record, the backflush indicator is set to "Always Backflush" (MRP2-view). A Material will always be backflushed during order confirmation.

2. In the material master record, the backflush indicator is set to "Work Center Decides", and the indicator is set in the work center (CR02). This will backflush the material only when the confirmed operation is executed on that specific work center.

3. In the routing (CA02), the backflush indicator is set in the component view, Note: the material must be assigned to an operation. This enables you to backflush a material only in a specific routing.

4. You can set the indicator directly in the production order (CO02) on the component view.

5. In customizing 'parameter for order confirmation' (OPK4) - set backflush for all components of a production order.

By products will be posted with movement type 531.
