Setting for Cost Planning

Can anybody please let know what is the use of  Remainder Translation in the planning profile (t-code opsb).

Hi Satish,

Remainder Translation indicator is more of currency translation exchange rate when you use overall cost planning. If transcation currecny is different from controlling area currency and object currency then system does the translation of remaindercost plan currency by considering next year/month exchange rate. Remainder = overall value - sum of annual values.

For annual values the logic is different, So based on your cost planning and group currency maintain this indicator. you can more info by hitting F1 on that field.

Its for translating the currency. Just use F1 key on field Remainder Translation, you will understand.
